Its name accounted for the abundance in the area and of the laurel trees in local woods. The castle was created in the X century. It then became a Fief of the Trinci family of Todi, after 1810 it was annexed to Baschi. In what is now the main entrance to the village, originally being the Saint Valentine Chapel, there are frescos from the XV century which, although they were seriusly damaged, they still have a mystical and ancient charm. Here you can see the "Romitorio della Pasquarella" with the Altar celebrating the Epiphany.
